ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF. – – Today Diane Dixon announced she has received the endorsement of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs (AOCDS). THE AOCDS represents 3,900 active and retired sworn peace officers in Orange County. The endorsement is key as the newly drawn 72nd Assembly District is entirely nested within Orange County.
In an endorsement letter AOCDS President, Juan Viramontes said, “We appreciate you taking an active part in our County, your years of honest and dedicated public service, and your support of law enforcement.”
Diane Dixon responded, “I’m proud to be supported by the men and women who work to keep the community safe. The California legislature has become increasingly anti-law enforcement and that’s simply unacceptable. When I’m elected to the state assembly, law enforcement will have a voice for them and I will stand up to the soft-on-crime policies that are making our streets less safe.
Diane Dixon has been able to unify law enforcement support in the campaign, in addition to the Association of the Orange County Deputy Sheriffs, Dixon is endorsed by the Newport Beach Police Officers Association.
