Newport Beach, Calif. – – Last night at their monthly meeting the Republican Party of Orange County officially endorsed Diane Dixon for the 72nd Assembly District. The 72nd District is entirely nested in Orange County making the Republican Party of Orange County the only local central committee overseeing the 72nd District.
“This endorsement gives Dixon a massive advantage in the election and sends a clear message to donors, potential challengers and most importantly – the voters,” said Dixon campaign consultant Natalie Blanning. “The Republican Party of Orange County is the gold standard of endorsements for Republican candidates, and to have such overwhelming support from the local central committee and other high-profile Republicans proves Dixon is the conservative to represent this new district for the next decade.”
Dixon has quickly established herself as the frontrunner since announcing her candidacy for the newly drawn 72nd Assembly District in December.
In addition to receiving the endorsement of the Republican Party of Orange County, Dixon has been endorsed by the Lincoln Club of Orange County, U.S. Representative Young Kim, U.S. Michelle Steel, former U.S. Representative Mimi Walters, Senator Pat Bates, Assemblymember Laurie Davies, former Assembly Republican Leader Curt Pringle and dozens of more local Republican leaders. A comprehensive list of endorsements can be found at www.DianeDixonForAssembly.com.
The newly drawn Assembly District is entirely nested in Orange County and includes the cities of Aliso Viejo, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, Newport Beach and Seal Beach.
