NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – – Diane Dixon announced receiving the endorsement of Assemblywoman Laurie Davies in her campaign for State Assembly. Assemblywoman Davies represents the neighboring 73rd Assembly District in Orange County.
Assemblywoman Laurie Davies cited Diane Dixon’s leadership as the reason for support. “Diane Dixon has been a true public servant in her city and all of Orange County. Diane’s leadership is definitely something we need in Sacramento. The pandemic has created issues that without strong leadership will have lasting effects on our state. I support Diane Dixon because Orange County needs her working with me to ensure that our tax dollars are being spent wisely, our children are getting the education they deserve and our economy comes roaring back.”
The election for the 74th District sets up a rematch of the 2020 election between Democrat incumbent Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris and Diane Dixon. Despite being outspent overwhelmingly Dixon lost by a single percentage point.
Assemblywoman Davies is just the latest notable Republican leader to endorse Diane Dixon. Recently, Dixon announced receiving the notable endorsements of Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldon and U.S. Representative Michelle Steel.
